USTM 2022
In October 2022, Rhonda was inducted in India as the Global STEM Ambassador by Meghalaya Chief Minister along with other dignitaries and the Chancellor of the University of Science & Technology Meghalaya (USTM).
The University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya is the first State Private University in the entire Northeast India.
Rhonda Vetere addressed a huge gathering at Central Auditorium on the occasion of Foundation Laying of PA Sangma International Medical College & Hospital at USTM:
“I have been spending time in India over the past 25 years, and this culture is very special to me... I cannot wait to take your spirit back all around the world, and it’s a lesson for the world to learn how you are achieving these values of universal integration and brotherhood.”
Rhonda Vetere Biodiversity Park
USTM also named a new Rhonda Vetere Biodiversity Park for her sustainability work around the globe, and she commissioned the ground breaking ceremony for the USTM I Can I Will Academy in Meghalaya, India.
Rhonda shared: “The Biodiversity Park is spectacular with a natural lake and animals that we will be providing additional education studies. For those that know me, know I love nature and animals — this was truly an honor to have this dedication.”

The Meghalaya Chief Minister – Conrad Sangma today laid the foundation-stone of “P.A. Sangma International Medical College & Hospital” at the University of Science & Technology Meghalaya (USTM). This foundation-stone was laid in presence of the Global Leader from USA – Rhonda Vetere; former Meghalaya Governor – R.S. Mooshahary; Home and Education Minister – Lahkmen Rymbui and other distinguished guests.
Replying to the media persons, Rhonda Vetere stated that she is very happy to be the global ambassador of USTM. She will contribute towards developing an overall integrated communication strategy through international liaison to promote and enhance visibility of the university and its mission globally, felicitate collaboration with world class institutions as well as provide consultation on organisational structure, governance and administration.

In order to materialise its Mission Global, the University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) has selected Rhonda Vetere, one of the top 50 most powerful women in technology, author and a global leader from New York to work worldwide for the University. Vetere will join the USTM as its Global Ambassador on October 3 on the occasion of the foundation laying ceremony of the PA Sangma International Medical College and Hospital at USTM campus.
